Happy Holidays!
I know it has been a little while since I have updated here and I am aiming to do so more often. First, it is now December. There are a lot of different holidays observed during this month. Whatever and however you celebrate: happy holidays! Personally, I am celebrating a birthday this month and my family gets together for Christmas. I hope you are able to stay safe and be supported during this season.
Book News
My “second” book is almost here! I put quotes around second because Countenance of a Hero was originally planned as my second release, but due to circumstances, was put on hold for over a year. Recently, we’ve been able to move forward and I received the first proof a couple weeks ago. This, however, also had some issues. These have now been corrected and I am waiting for a new proof copy to arrive. Once this does, I will be able to approve and push this book out once and for all. I have already set up a Goodreads page for the book so you can add it to your shelf if you’d like.
In other book news, I sent off my sixth manuscript to the publisher earlier this month. It is currently in production with formatting, cover art, and editing. I am hoping to have this one out by early next year.
After this sixth book, I only have one more manuscript that is ready for publication in the pipeline. It is another book one. The rest of my completed manuscripts are other books in this series (though not books two, three, or four). I may wait before releasing this one as I have a few other series balls up in the air right now.
Writing News
That said, I am diligently working on writing other projects. Unfortunately, I was unable to meet my November writing goals this year due to other things going on. But I do have several projects that I am working towards completion, including the second book in The Pitstop Articles, a sequel to Countenance of a Hero, and some other one-off type projects.
I plan to resume posting on Vocal as well, though these will be mostly poems. I have a stash of poetry that I wrote throughout my time in school. These require very little edits to post, which is why I am focusing on them instead of short stories and prose. Since I am working on writing my novel projects, I don’t have the space to develop short stories. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the poetry.
Other Projects
I have this goal to update my website to include information about the universe that my stories are all set in as well as character art. I do have a Toyhouse account set up to display the character artwork, but this also needs updating. I’m not sure which way is better to go, so we’ll see how that ends up.
Wrap Up
Okay so this wasn’t a very long entry. Just something to give you all some brief updates and to freshen up my website a little bit. I hope you enjoy your holiday season however you do (or don’t) celebrate!
