Colistro

Planet Description

As one of the farthest planets from the sun, this planet is mostly water. On one side of the planet, it has a ring of continents and islands creating an inner ocean and an outer ocean. People who live here travel by cruise liners across the inner circle. Some of these are business class and take a quick route while others are known as partyliners and stop in every port along the way. It is customary for people all over Colistro to take a gap year after completing each life stage (graduating high school, graduating college, retiring) to travel the world.

The waters of the the outer ocean are left unexplored as many early expeditions found nothing of note, including no sign of land, elsewhere on the planet. However, it is not entirely uncivilized. Directly opposite the ring of land on one side is a civilization known as the Sea of Clouds where the people live in the clouds. This is unknown to the other parts of Colistro as the ring of land is unknown to the people of the Sea of Clouds.

Technology Level

Colistro is very much a modern world with all of the modern amenities. This was the fourth planet in the Vibrissa Galaxy to enter space. While most of the travel is conducted by cruise liner, Colistro is known to have airplanes and cars. The planes are used most often to travel within landlocked areas of a country. Tourism is one of the main industries in a lot of Colistro’s countries, particularly the coastal ones.
